# Performance creative brief — Logitech Pebble Keys 2 K380s

## Assignment

Create one polished 18-second vertical product ad for this real product, in Spanish, as one of two ads for different products. The second product is JBL Flip 7 and has its own brief. The previous candle test had attractive still compositions but its movement and story were too generic. This iteration must make the product's mechanism legible through action and response, while maintaining one consistent art direction. CRO work is outside this iteration.

This is a speculative creative test, not a commissioned Logitech campaign. It is prepared for evaluation, not published media buying. The user explicitly requested these next tests be created now.

## Commercial brief

| Field | Direction |
| --- | --- |
| Product | Logitech Pebble Keys 2 K380s, Tonal Rose, shown with official imagery |
| Audience hypothesis | Spanish-speaking laptop/tablet/phone users who work or study across devices |
| Buyer situation | Switching the device being used while wanting a familiar physical keyboard |
| Communication objective | Viewers understand that one keyboard can switch between up to three previously paired devices |
| Single message | Un teclado para tus dispositivos. |
| Evidence | Logitech documents three paired devices and short presses of Easy-Switch keys to switch after initial Bluetooth pairing |
| Desired response | Visit the product page to inspect compatibility and decide whether it fits their setup |
| CTA | Conoce Pebble Keys 2 |
| Destination | Official product page; Best Buy listing establishes a large ecommerce retail reference |
| Placement | Proposed Reels/Stories-style 9:16, 1080×1920, 30fps |
| Offer | Product discovery. No invented price, discount, scarcity, shipping promise, or testimonial |
| Audio | Silent-first motion test. No paid voice generation; copy and physical response must communicate the idea |

## Selected concept

**A — use-case opening:** “¿Laptop, tablet o celular?” Three device silhouettes form a coherent workspace around the product. Hypothesis: recognition of a familiar situation earns attention and helps viewers interpret the feature.

The user selected two ads for different products. This keyboard ad uses the use-case opening. The separate JBL ad is a distinct creative exercise, not a controlled hook test against this product.

## Storyboard

| Time | Keyboard ad | Continuity | Movement / communication |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| 0–3s | ¿Laptop, tablet o celular? | Same keyboard remains visible. | Show the keyboard early. Device silhouettes form a workspace around the keyboard. Short, weighted arrivals with readable rests. |
| 3–5s | Un teclado para los tres. | Same | Persistent keyboard settles into the demonstration layout. Existing paired devices are identified; avoid suggesting automatic initial pairing. |
| 5–8s | Laptop | Same | Visible press on Easy-Switch 1 → laptop becomes active → local text types on laptop. Other screens remain inactive. |
| 8–10.5s | Tablet | Same | Visible press on 2 → tablet becomes active → a different local text fragment types there. No implication of copied files or shared clipboard. |
| 10.5–13s | Celular | Same | Visible press on 3 → phone becomes active → local text types there. Use directional emphasis and stable mapping. |
| 13–15s | Cambia con Easy-Switch. | Same | Pull back to coherent product hero; consolidate the three-device relationship. |
| 15–18s | Pebble Keys 2 · K380s / Conoce Pebble Keys 2 | Same | Hero settles, CTA has a full readable hold. |

On-screen qualifier during demonstration: “Dispositivos previamente vinculados.” Device screens are an illustrative demonstration, not a filmed compatibility test. The qualifier can remain concise and readable without competing with the headline.

## Art and motion direction

- One palette: warm near-white, deep plum/graphite, the actual rose keyboard, and a restrained bright selection accent. One sans-serif family with strong scale hierarchy.
- Product is the visual anchor. Use transparent official top and angled images with consistent proportions and color. The asset has transparent padding; compensate in CSS using known source geometry.
- Animation communicates causality: press/compression → channel emphasis → selected device responds → typing. Use a restrained overshoot for arrivals and crisp, readable settling. Accent rings are editorial callouts, not claims of RGB hardware lighting.
- Keep one product instance through the shared demonstration. Use clip reveals, translations, coordinated camera moves, and keyed responses instead of crossfading entire text-heavy slides.
- Preserve object identity and direction between states. Avoid unrelated props, ornamental particles, constant drifting, overlapping headlines, or multiple competing pulses.
- Use the top-view product for accurate key callouts. If the angled view cannot be transitioned cleanly, keep the top view rather than create a false 3D turn from unrelated photos.
- Design a phone-safe text region: generous side margins, avoid essential CTA copy in the lowest app-overlay area, check at 360×640 as well as full size.

## Evaluation and media test design

Creative QA: can a viewer name the product category and benefit after three seconds? Does each physical cue produce exactly one intelligible response? Are all messages readable while movement settles? Is the same product recognizable throughout?

Proposed paid test: evaluate this creative against a control for the same keyboard, holding audience, budget, placement, landing page and optimization event constant. Compare early hold/video retention, outbound CTR, qualified landing visits, and purchase conversion/cost when tracked. Define platform metrics and sample size before calling a winner. The JBL ad targets a different product and audience, so raw performance between the two is not an isolated creative A/B result. No performance guarantee is asserted.

The imagery shows the US keyboard layout. Do not claim it represents a particular Spanish-layout SKU. The campaign is written in Spanish; price, stock, local retail availability and keyboard localization require separate checks before publication.

## Typography revision — September 28, 2026

Per user confirmation, this version uses the original tutorial typography treatment (Work Sans 300–700 and DM Mono 400/500), retains the existing product palette, and removes decorative page rules and divider strokes. Motion and product story remain the approved concept. `out/ad-v1.mp4` preserves the earlier export.
